What comes to mind when you hear or see those two words? For some it’s what they thrive of but for many noses get turned up, the thought of second-hand(or third- hand) unwanted clothes is not an even in their thought process as they ride by their local thrift warehouse or store tucked away in a plaza on their way to a “more suitable” shopping center or the mall. Prepare to have everything you just thought about in the last few seconds of reading this intro be obliterated because the Art of Reuse organization is going to change your entire perception of what a thrift store is. The phrase second-hand will have you correcting people and replacing the word vintage because what the Art of Reuse organization’s (ĭn | tər | ĭm) [interim] thrift store locations are all about is style and substance. The Art of Reuse is about bringing quality affordable clothes to the masses while educating and giving back at the same time. These Toronto natives are re-inventing the “shopping experience” one pop up shop at a time.
I have been following what The Award Tour Clothing has been doing for a few months now. I saw their site via Phillip T. Annand’s blog on Hypebeast and I was instantly drawn to their designs. This video shows how much work and love they put into their clothing line. I always support quality and you all should too.
Last Thursday night Soul Love had the pleasure of attending Sneaker Pimps DC at Lux Lounge. The venue was well suited for the event. In conjunction with Miss DJ Gemz Soul Love managed to take some film of the event and pictures. This is how it came out.
Nitty Scott has been the talk of the internet since the release of her “Monster” Freestyle. She released a collaboration with Rock Smith Clothing via her twitter @nittyscottmc yesterday. I will definitely be on the look out from this new comer; dope picture by the way.
I have been following this brand for a while now. It’s funny how something so simple can spark a lot of interest. I saw a picture of Les Nubians wearing a “Africa is the Future” T-shirt and I literally tracked the company down through various google searches until I found it. Little did I know the company was based in France and being as though the Euro is still winning over the dollar, let’s just say shipping wasn’t an option. I still believe in what this company is doing and give props where props are due. Hopefully one day I will see there shirts in a hip hop store near me.
A clothing line out of Paris, France, we will let the clothes, photography and the owner/creator speak for themselves. Peep the vid below as well as the interview link. Yes! “Africa is the Future”

What’s going on interweb people, it’s DeVon. I just purchased a Golla bag and I love it. The design is great, so I did a quick interweb search and found out about this company. I have to say the scandinavians are very fashionable and stylish. Sweden has given us the wonderful ‘go in and grab a shirt, slacks, dress and whatever else you see’ store that is H&M and out of Finland is Golla Bags. The website fits the company perfectly. Check out a preview visit the site you won’t be disappointed.
We are a global thinking brand and that extends into everything, of course fashion. What better way to get an international flair than to watch the launch of WESC, a swedish chic streetwear brand in London, courtesy of SB.TV. Definitely need to get some clothes and a pair of headphones!
